Message	Buy a mechanical oil pressure gauge for around $30 at Advanced Auto, Autozone, ect. hook it up to the stock oil pressure sensor location and check it with that, eliminates the possibility of it being a oil pressure sending unit problem. Start it up watch the readings as it warms up, if still low, you have a problem. Or ask the mechanic if he has a mechanical one he can hook up, a good shop should have one.
