I have been doing a bit of research online and there seems to be mixed consensus as to wither this is a good idea or not. I deleted the AC, so the condenser is not being used at the moment and my stock oil cooler is beat all to hell. I am going with an FMIC setup so airflow to the small cooler would be reduced from what it was stock. There is already an electric fan attached to the condenser for additional cooling. I am wondering if anyone has tried this on a Z. I have read on other car forums where people have had good success doing this but I haven't been able to find anything on the Z specifically (Ex: [ http://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-specific-1979-1985-18/converting-c-condenser-oil-cooler-715072/ ])
