Secondly, something that essentially can destroy your engine if its made wrong or breaks is not where you want to skimp. I am sitting on the same exact miles as you are and my car also has only had regular timing services(60k kits) done since ive had it, but now I can hear the upper idler pulley making a bit of noise like it may be on its way out. So my choice is obvious, I will be doing the 120k kit..... and if Im willing to do this on my car, which is very much a beater that may not be around long, then for someone that takes care of their car like you it should be a no brainer. The extra couple hundred dollars will definitely be worth it in the long run if you plan to be holding on to this car.
