almost dead center of the plenum just at the back of the engine. You will see a few electrical connectors back there that could have gotten mixed up.
I would HIGHLY recommend finding someone who knows the Z to work on it. I have a nightmare of a story from a mechanic that had done work on several cars before for me, and then I took him my Z.... Two weeks later it cost me $2500 and he gave the car back blowing smoke out the exhaust like a fog machine. I took it in for an injector replacment, got it back with no compression and in need of a rebuild. 8 months of sitting in my driveway immobile I finaly had enough saved up after the $2500 loss to take it to a mechanic that KNOWS Z's. Turns out the first shop pinched several o-rings when installing the injectors which they SWORE they had installed correctly. Nice people, but had no business working on a 300zx.
