I removed the rear interior panels for the first time this weekend (as part of rear strut swap on my '93 TT) and had some confusion ("Is it a snap so I should just pull harder or is it a screw/nut and I'll break the panel if I pull harder?"). The FSM was helpful but didn't have all the clarity I would have needed to proceed with confidence on a couple of points:
The panels with the speaker covers in them have a screw and a nut toward the *front* of the car that are exposed by removing the panels right behind the seats. The right-behind-the-seats panels are removed by levering upward the interior side of the panel (by finger if the speaker-covers panels are already loose and so there is room for fingers at the rear when flexing the speaker-covers panels a bit) There are no fasteners to remove for the right-behind-the-seats panels; they snap in/out). I've only removed the Driver Side speaker-cover panel, but I assume the Passenger Side is the same.
