Following up on the excellent FAQ "Eibach Springs & Strut Installation/Replacement Writeup"... Author suggests getting 11 year old daughter to prop wheel hub down with 2x4 while using body weight to force hub down, creating and maintaining clearance for strut removal. Having no daughter near suggested age, I used my floor jack (with suitable blocks of wood and rags to avoid scratches/dings) in between the 'elbows' of the linkages (at the bottom) and the wheel well (at the top) with success front and rear both. It took a couple of attempts to position the jack so that the strut could be removed without being blocked by the jack. When positioned correctly, 'jacking up' the jack causes the wheel hub to be forced down, creating a gap between the strut and upper-strut-mounting-surface at the top and leaving space for the strut to be removed downward.
