Subject	Can you remove your heads without removing the engine

Message	I have been away from this forum for about 7 years when I sold my '91 tt. But now, I am thinking of buying a '96 that had a broken timing belt. Yes there can be more broken than just the heads and valves. I am being optimistic and hoping it is just the valves. So... can I pull the heads easily without pulling the engine?
