Message I tried searching for this but couldn't find anything. Apologies if I missed it.

Today I just happened to have ConZult cooked up after getting home from a quick run to grab a bite. When I pulled into my carport the aux fan was on (Austin, TX) so I let it shut off then turned the car off. By the time I had hooked up ConZult, the temp reading was up to 225. I have never seen it this high. The dash gauge was also reading high at this time (as you might expect).

As soon as I started the car back up the aux fan came on and the temp fell to about 196, at which point the aux fan turned off.

I guess I'm asking: Is it normal for the temp to rise this much after shut off on a hot day? I have the hood open right now while it relaxes in the car port, just for good measure. As far as I can tell I am not having any overheating issues while the car is running.

Thanks.
Andy
