Subject	Will this Fuel Pump test work?

Message	I connected a hose from one of the lines coming off the Fuel Pump and ran the other end into an empty bucket to collect gas. I have the wire harness to the Fuel Pump unplugged...then I go and turn the key into the start position...when I then connect the wire harness back up to the Fuel Pump (and I've confirmed I'm getting 12 Volts at the harness connection that tells me my fuses and relay switches are good), shouldn't I see gas flow into that bucket?..and also hear the Fuel Pump? ...if neither of those things happen (which they didn't), doesn't that confirm that the Fuel Pump is bad?
