is this mechanic, and where has he worked on "tons of TT Z's"? (In general, Nissan dealers are to be avoided like the plague.) Post this info here and see what responses you get. If you can't verify, find another mechanic. ..... Second thought: If you verify you need a new engine, don't buy a used engine for this car. You will put it in, then mess with it for the next year or two, only to have an old used engine when you're done. "Search" and read this topic on this site before proceeding.
