Subject	Dash lights all lit up. Battery wont charge?

Message	I just uped my alt to a 140AMP Alt. (megga stereo) Used it for about 500 miles, then my dash lit up. No radio, no horn, no A/C, ABS light on, headlight indicator on, lots of other lights. I just replaced my alt to tranny harness, charged my battery, started the car, and dash lights are all still on and battery is not charging. The car died... Alternator???? Please help.
