Message	I'd sand it smooth, make sure there are no protrusions, and put it together. What your're trying to do is get it flat, so a wire wheel is a bad idea. I'd use a file and keep it flat on the surface. It doesn't look like you damaged the surface inboard of the dent, but make sure with a straight-edge.
