Message	Not only Nissan, but any other manufacturer. There is really no good way to know just how much oil remains in the system after removing the compressor. Sure, drain it and add the same amount back in. But you're correct, what about the amount that leaked out over time? Just guess between 2-5 ounces and you will probably be fine.
