Yes I know. New to 300zx cars, but not cars in general. I checked with two different timing lights. Also, in my opinion you need to use programs like datascan to confirm commanded timing before adjusting phase of the dizzy or cas. What if the ECU is commanding 17° at idle .... does you no good to set it to 15°???? Setting timing without a program like datascan is not the best way to do it.
My question is whether the required adjustment of the cas is indicative of valve timing issues or wether it is an accepted amount of cas rotation.
