| I did this, oh god, like 4 years ago, and I never did anything about most of the wiring changes...just lived with it...but as I get closer to finishing off "that list" we all have, I decided I might as well do some of this useless, yet useful crap. I don't have reverse lights yet, but i'll splice that in when I change my leaky ps jhose when I have a good 6 hours to devote (damnit, ash pipes so biiiig). I'm not an electrician, so someone help me. Cruise Control clutch pedal turn off switch: I acquired a switch from a clutch pedal at the les junkyards, and spliced the wires into the identical looking switch on the brake pedal. I used the el-cheapo snap on fittings that you could put a fitting into for easier splicing (NOT going to use my shitty solder skills under and up there, hell naw). This did not work. Well sorta...I need to have the button pressed to turn on the cruise, but unpressing the button (aka, pushing the clutch pedal in) did not turn off the cruise. Are the cruise control switches identical for the brake pedal and the clutch pedal? or did I splice it into the wrong switch/button? I tested continuity on the switch with my ohmmeter. Upon depressing the button, it took a LONG time for the numbers to drop to infinity. Usually, 0.5 seconds should be good, but this took at least 1 second to drop. Is my switch fubar'd? Did any z's not come with cruise control? My clutch pedal that I acquired and am using only has one spot for a switch? I believe there should be two, one for neutral switch, one for cruise. Could I technically just use a neutral switch to handle both neutral and cruise? Just split the wires up. Anyone have a writeup on where to wire my neutral switch to? I think I can figure it out, but i'm lazy, and a writeup is always nice. I just wrote an essay, but I hope someone read it :)
