I went to a shop near my house to have my AC system charged on my 300zx. I had installed a new oem drier. Anyway, I went out there to show them that my low side pipe was r12-fitted, and my high side had the r134a fitting. They couldn't get an adapter on the low side to fit in place, so they vacuumed down the high side and filled the high side. They could only pressure check the high side. I repeatedly asked them if that was safe and okay, because the manual specifically states that it should be done from the low side. I personally don't know what the differences are or how the whole AC system works as a unit, so I am left wondering whether they did a good job or not. The AC system blows cold, but not quite as cold as I recall from before.
