| Sadly, I think my attempt at installing RTV around the oil pan wasn't 100% perfect. I initially noticed oil at the corner of my pan near the transmission. It wasn't on the passenger side at all...only on the driver side. I'm guessing where the half-circle rubber seal (new OEM when I installed it) meets the pan & RTV is the weak point... Yes, I realize it was stupid and likely futile to put RTV at the outside edge, but I had to give a shot because the drip is so slow and I wanted to see if it would magically go away. I recently added a dye tracer to confirm that it is originating from that corner. I was reading the FSM on dropping the oil pan and cross member. I was just curious how difficult it is to properly align the pan upon installing with the RTV already applied? I imagine myself trying to get it completely straight and avoid smearing it by being off a bit? Anyone have any experience that they can pass on?
