| Possiably. It is normal for it to stay red for a while. It tries to charge to 13.5-14.4 volts when its first hooked up. After a maximum of 12 hours its supposed to go into a trickle charge. At this point the light will still be red. It will ONLY go green when the battery is fully charged. Mine stayed red for a couple days. I was real skeptical but a couple days later I came home and bingo, green light. It will also go red anytime it is unplugged or power is turned off and back on. It will charge for a bit and then it will turn green again. I would leave it in for 3-4 days and if its STILL not green, then exchange it. Its a very slow charge, which is why it does not do any type of damage to your battery. It is for MAINTAINING a battery, not charging it. I think your fine, just give it more time as its a slow process.
