Overboosting will cause detonation, which will retard ignition timing 10 degrees if im not mistaken. With the exhaust, engine loud noise, hot humid days adrenaline you probably wont hear her detonating. 14psi to 15psi was what i and probably most of us run. Brice probably welded it because of the loud tapping noise the intake VTC will make with those springs. I will give you a call so you can try the alc.
