| "Gauges and boost controller are wired to my switched stereo 12v source but I assume that may be a problem down the line" -only if you exceed the rating of the circuit. It's a problem if you find you have to use a higher value fuse or are blowing the fuse that is rated for the circuit. Using an existing circuit like this does not guarantee noise free stable voltage though. Best way to wire a bunch of switched accessories is to use a 10gauge or so wire ** fused at the battery pos term - maybe 20 amps?? ** into a relay mounted perhaps behind the stereo. You could then trip the relay with your stereo 12v source and run the aftermarket switched accessories from the relay, which would now have a high current switched output; of course each accessory should have it's own properly rated fuse between the relay and particular accessory. This would ensure there is no additional load on the stereo circuit, and your power would be 'battery fresh'!
