Message There are three individual areas of processing on the speedometer board. One sends the signal to the ECU and HICAS module via what is called a two pulse signal, one operates the needle and one processes the signal for a stepper motor output to drive the odometer. Any one or combination of any two can stop working but leave one or more of the others to work. And of course, all three could stop working.
