| So machine shop installed many new vlaves in the heads as well as swapping old valves with used ones and did a valve job. Now valves dont all close fully. I was told get new lifters cause they closed when cams not installed. So went to nissan for 24 new lifters and $500 later the same valves are still open enough to see light around them fully... My questions is before i go to machine shop and ask why they didnt resize the valves since they did a 3angle valve job, is there any specific way the lifters need to be installed or do they need to be ran for them to seat all the way? I just took old ones out and placed new ones in and snugged cam down and rotated the cam by hand one full time and they still stick open. Wasnt sure if something else was neede as part of the install process. Heads are off car and block and i know the lifters need to be lubbed up before actually installing. Just trying to get valves to fully shut before bolting everything together again. Thanks.
