main seal can be a PITA to get out. For any of the seals I've found that dimpling them a bit (using a small headed screw driver and hammer) at the 10 and 2 o'clock position makes it easier to get some WD-40 into the area The 60k FAQ refers to doing this as a way to pry it out. My preference is to use a seal puller instead.
Do the upper seals first - easier to get the hang of things before trying the crank seal.
