| 6/7/12 I am planning on going through the checklist to remedy my ghostly erratic idle issue. I just had two questions prior to beginning. First the problem. Erratic idle at a stop oscillating from 1100 to stall out. Have to hold throttle to about 1400RPMs just to keep running. 1. This is not consistant. Happened a couple Weeks ago, went away, now back. Does the infrequency point more to one problem over another? 2. I read in one search a possible injector issue. Some mention of ethanol fuel additive as the culprit. Do bad injectors "tick"? I thought I noticed a "ticking noise" when next to other cars. Hoping for a little push in the right direction. Running Nismo 740cc installed new by PO when motor rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago. Today: Maybe a breakthrough on this issue. Idling fine for Weeks and now the idle ghost is back. I opened the hood to check around and noticed what sounds like a small air pump failing. Coming from the passenger front fender underneath the headlight. Couldn't get too deep into that area just yet. Did it after engine and key were shut off for about 10 seconds. Tried wikiz32 and some schematics but couldn't find what might be up there. Any help?
