Message So I was letting my car cool off in the parking lot after work today (something I have done regularly in the past). I let it idle a little longer than normal, but I heard a pissing sound thinking I had blown a coolant line. turns out it was the burst disc on the high pressure line letting all my freon out. shut the car off to assess. Started the car back up a few minutes later to drive home and noticed the car was a little hot (just over half), and it immediately went back to normal as soon as i started the car back up and moved forward. My theory is that the a/c caused the car to get hot as hell from lack of air flow and the ambient temp being about 99 degrees and having sat in direct sunlight ALL day. The thing that strikes me as odd however is that in the past I have driven the car in stop and go traffic in 95+ degree weather with the a/c on and never had a problem with the car's temperature. A/C compressor is brand new as of i think to years ago (oem nissan new) and previously was working fine all last summer and up until now. Thoughts? I'll be replacing the burst disc and filter dryer very soon and recharging it but I dont want this to happen again.
