| yea i checked the fsm while doing it im 45 cogs from intake to intake came 24 from exhaust cam to intake cam and the mark lined up on the crank BUT i could not get a accurate count from crank to drivers side exhaust cam. and the flat washer is between block and crank and the beveled washer is between the accessory drive belt and crank. with the bevel facing the front of the car so if the belt wants to slip off itll be pushed back on the crank. where im confused is the 4mm part is it 4mm of tension rod? is it 4mm from tension rod housing to arm opening? i posted a picture is that 4mm? And i spun the belt atleast 100 times and it never hit anything if i was off 1 tooth would the valves hit and stop the motor from spinning? i just wanna make sure when i fire it up it does bend everything. ok also when you put the belt on should it be even on the cams? more towards the metal backing plates? more towards the cam gears? i put it in the middle and it walked a little towards the cam gears after i spun it a bunch.and now the belt is showing gold in the middle as if the rubber rubbed off the flat face towards the radiator. like it rubbed on the face of the exhaust cam sprockets or something and rubbed the top layer off. I guess ill take it off and redo it all over again. since the marks dont line up on the belt anymore do i put the motor TDC again and the cams will be in the right spot just like when i took the old one off?
