| Ok so i did my first timing belt and it went well now i just have some questions that i havent been able to find Via searching. 1) from FSM it says put timing belt tensioner on and spin the crank 180 degrees or whatever it was i did not do that. I was following TTzd dallas 60k writeup and it didnt mention that. I did however loosen the bolts up and spin the crank so the tensioner gave a little room for the belt. is this ok? bolts are torqued to 15ft pounds right now and belt is tight and tensior arm is about 4mm out after being hand spun about 40000 times 2) i know that the marks will never line up again unless i had a million years to keep hand cranking it, So ive hand cranked my engine a ton and nothing is stopping the motor from spinning or hitting. Does this mean my timing belt is ok? 3) The belt looks like its rubbing its face on something maybe the exhaust cam gear lip(s). It looks like the rubber of the belt wore off and you can see gold in the middle of the belt. (like its core) i have the bevel on the crank and the belt is close to the exhaust cams is this a issue? will it rub itself into breaking? sorry i know its a book just double checking everything
