Message Possibly could have some lower pressurized lifters. Either dirty or weak. In rebuild did they replace the lifters. How many miles on rebuilt engine?

At start up cold after idle down and (750 rpm) and at full warm up what is the oil pressure at idle and at 2500 rpm?
If to low that may be part of the issue.

When warmed up my 92 NA gets 25 at idle and 63 at 2500 with 10w 30 Castrol HM, 88,000 miles. No ticky lifters. Don't recall the cold pressures but they are higher obviously. I use Purolater standard filter.

What oil filter are you using? How often do you change oil and filter both time and miles?

I would not be mixing Lucas with the Castrol unless engine is really sick which yours is not.

You might try a 10 min engine flush product then change oil and filter to 10w 30.
