| From what I can tell when they changed the gear style they used those bolts simply to hold the 2 parts of the gear together. They are "adjustable" off the car but they are probably made that way so they can be zero'd in when the factory put them together. They can be modified to be adjustable while on the car and be used like BDE's adjustable intake gears. A few of us have done this mod. But honestly since BDE came out with his there is no need. I would just buy his as the internals are better. That is the issue I ran into on my modified stock gears. They eventually went bad so I bought Bretts.
