Well I finally got off work and decided to change the oil before I did anything. I was actually thinking about adding Lucas oil treatment since I had several local mechanics suggest that and I didn't want to mix it with the Marvel Mystery Oil. I changed the oil (10W-30) and filter (6th time) and then located the VTC connectors which I was going to connect the green with black stripe to ground to isolate VTC gears or lifter. Once located with grounding wires ready to go I started the engine to confirm oil pressure. There was a scream of another new belt loosening up and when it quit squealing I noticed that there was only a slight lifter tick (which I could accept). Due to about 3 cars blocking me in my drive way I was unable take the car for a test drive so I will take it for a spin tomorrow after work and see if the loud ticking returns. Hopefully this time tomorrow night I can report some positive news. Thanks for your considerations!
