Hi everyone, After a stripped screw and some hours in the garage, I finally got my bad injector replaced with the used one given to me by ZUL8TR. I then noticed the small section of fuel line connected to the fuel damper was shot, so I took it off today. I went to do research on what size it was, and first had to look at pics of fuel pressure regulator and fuel damper to see what part that fuel hose was connected to (since they look similar). Lo and behold, based on pictures, some previous idiot owner appears to have replaced the fuel damper with a 2nd fuel pressure regulator! No wonder it wasn't bolted down anywhere. It appears newer since it isn't painted black like the original regulator which is in the correct location. Now a couple questions:1. What size is that short section of fuel hose? 2. Could this mixup be why my car's RPMs bounced when decelerating, along with some other minor running issues? 3. Will a used fuel damper work, or do they go bad enough where I should just buy a new one? 4. Should I replace the original regulator with the one that was in the wrong location, since that one looks newer? Thanks for any and all input! What I believe to be original fuel press. reg. in correct location
What appears to be newer fuel press. reg. in fuel damper location:
