I was a bit off in my previous measurement when I said it was moving just a bit less than 1". I was measuring it from the side of the car with it on the ground before. Today, I got underneath it. The fork is traveling 5/8". Is this enough movement?

The TOB is firmly attached to the fork. The pivot bolt is also firmly in the plate. The threads didn't come loose at all as previously suspected. With the slave cylinder removed, the fork has some extra travel forward but this is normal. Once I got to put the slave back on, I just have to compress it and everything is snug. I could even see the TOB pressing against the pressure plate as the pedal was pressed.

WILL JSCHRAUWEN EVER ANSWER MY QUESTION?

John, stop it! You are not allowed in AMS threads and you know it. -- marty1mc

Do yourself a favor and just worry about your own car. I don't see what everyone is so worried about anyway. If someone else wants to perform a modification that you believe will destroy the value, cheapen the Z32 or whatever you can't sit on your hands about, wouldn't that make your tastefully-modified, white bread Z32 more rare and valuable? -- BradZ (FL) on December 23, 2007 at 12:19 PM
