Yesterday on the General page, AliaZ brought to my attention that there would be a need for an AC compressor relocation bracket to be made if one would want to have a (Dailey) dry sump oil system AND run AC. Looking at a few pics of engine bays, trying to see what type of limitations there would be for fitment, I started looking for smaller compressors from other cars to see if anything looked feasible. I stumbled on a forum that someone had mentioned using an electric AC compressor. I found that electric AC compressors from hybrid and electric cars are 200+ V. I searched for 12 V electric AC compressors and this is one item that came up. Looks like you can install it anywhere in the car and just run lines to it.
Now you electrical savvy would have to voice your concerns about these types of systems. I'm nut sure what type of load they would put on the electrical system. Perhaps upgrading the Alt. to a high output tractor trailer unit may help?
