Not sure if you've mentioned how the threads for that pivot ball were repaired, but I have a hard time imagining that something like a helicoil would stand up to the stress that will be applied to that pivot ball. I'm not an engineer so I can't say for sure, but I'm guessing you'll find your pivot ball has come loose or has some other problem. No way to know for sure though without just dropping the transmission or at least prying off the dust boot and trying to look inside of the bellhousing.
