Message	my JDM that I've recently got up and running. I first filled it with distilled water (no coolant) and then drained it. The water had definitely developed a faint brown color to it. It wasn't like tea, but it wasn't crystal clear either. Then I started noticing in the necks (both fill and water inlet) that there was a little brown rust reside that I could wipe off. Where is this coming from? Won't coolant (not just water) help neutralize the rust? I guess I'll just drain my system once or twice a year.
