trying to get all of the overspray and burn through if you're not careful. You'll see a lot of shortcuts suggested that are suspect at best. The safest thing to do is either continue with the clay bar you have, or upgrade to a medium duty clay, which will take it off faster but will require a quick polish afterward to remove the light marring it will cause. If it's just the hood, I would make an afternoon of it with the fine grade clay you already have on hand instead.
