Message A part of me wants to way it was definitely the shipping company since I was having zero problems with it the day it was loaded (from a drivetrain perspective). However, since there were issues in the past, I can't say with certainty. It could just be a coincidence in timing. Like I said a while ago, I did did replace the clutch fork to the cast iron fork. That, combined with MT-90, stopped the grinding I was experiencing when shifting too quickly. I just attributed it to a weak clutch fork. In retrospect, it may have been something else and the cast fork just acted as a band-aid until something could further degrade. However, I think it is unlikely.

As for the Southbend clutch, I've never had any problems with it. Between that clutch kit, my Fidanza flywheel, the cast fork, chromoly pivot bolt (to fit Joe's kit), stainless braided line, and new slave, I'm just not sure.

I'll have to measure the distance of the slave pin today. I tried getting video last night but it was just too dark. I'll measure both the slave pin travel as well as the fork travel.

Never Play Leapfrog With A Unicorn!!!

Do yourself a favor and just worry about your own car. I don't see what everyone is so worried about anyway. If someone else wants to perform a modification that you believe will destroy the value, cheapen the Z32 or whatever you can't sit on your hands about, wouldn't that make your tastefully-modified, white bread Z32 more rare and valuable? -- BradZ (FL) on December 23, 2007 at 12:19 PM
