O/D) I recently installed an eBay purchased auto transmission and I was having transmission issues. The transmission would either not shift into O/D or it would shift erratically between 3rd and 4th gear. For the most part I was unable to do the auto trans self diagnostic, but I lucked out and one time it did give me a code which pointed to my TPS. I tested the TPS and then when it was between 0.4 - 0.5 V there was continuity issues at the switch end of the TPS. I purchased a new one, think my current one was bad. After installing and setting up the voltage, I was still having the issue. After comparing the two units, I determined that the TPS were fine, they were just not adjusted properly. I had to adjust the TPS so that there was continuity at the switches top two pins when at idle. After adjusting the switch, the highest voltage I could get was 0.37V. After adjusting it, I had to drive it twice for it to correct it self, but it is now driving and shifting perfect! SIDE NOTE: For the past season until recently my Z's steering felt loose/wandered at highway speeds. Adjusting the TPS has cured that too!!
