I just received all of the parts to start my suspension upgrade project on my 90 TT. I'm planning on replacing all of the bushings while I've got it up on the jack stands and wanted to ask a question. According to the service manual, it says to pull the rear end as a single unit (i.e. remove the bolts from the sub-frame and shocks and bring it all at once).. Is that true? I know I need to disconnect the brake caliper, driveshaft, and e-brake cables, along with removing the exhaust. I still have the HICAS system installed. Do I need to disconnect the lines to the HICAS, or can it be removed from the rear and just left on the car? Also, should I attempt this by myself with just a jack under the differential to bring it down, or pull it apart in pieces? I've got an Energy Suspension Master Kit and the rear control arm bushing kit, and I want to replace all of the bushings I can, including diff and sub-frame. Any information is greatly appreciated. Just trying to figure out the tricks to this job to keep from doing extra work (and avoiding injury). Thanks!
