Message	my troubleshooting was done with mast out of motor and the motor out of the housing. I did this so when I gave it power I could see whether the screw on the motor was turning either clockwise or counterclockwise depending on whether the radio was turned on or off. So any resistance the motor might be facing is internal, not anything to do with mast or gear teeth which have all been ruled out.
