I have a 90 TT with many mods. It was 2 years ago when I pulled the motor replaced injectors with 555, turbos, intercoolers, ECU remapped and other little things. Since then I have lost one injector. Replaced that and now I have run into another troubling problem, a few months later. I am stump on this one. It will start without problems but it will not stay running. I have to keep the engine revved so it does not cut off. As soon as I let go it will die. It is also smoking alot almost like it is running very rich and smells about like it as well. Sometimes it will run and idle as though nothing is wrong but all it takes is a second for it to start running like crap again. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. All the injectors are firing. Maybe the regulator, MAS...? please help if you can. Today I started it and it ran like a 3 cylinder, and it smoothed out own its own. I took it 500 ft down the road and it cutoff. I started it back but had to keep the rpm's high to get it back home. It cut off 3 more times before I could get there. Thank you
