| Hi Everyone, I hardly post on here and been researching over tt.net for a similar issue I'm experiencing with my Z. I have found a couple people with some similar issues, but nothing really explaining what I'm experiencing. Since my rebuild I have been pretty worry free, just got this issue in these last weeks. I have put around 3-4,000 worry free miles since December. So, forgive me for the long post. A few days ago I noticed going into boost it would either spike, or dump right into high boost. Usually whenever I went WOT into boost before, Id hit a steady 15-16 PSI. Most of the time, I wasnt at WOT, only half way or so on the accel. This time it trying to hold boost, it would jump instantly from wherever it was trying to hold at, example: 6PSI to like 18.5 or the highest I have seen 21.8. So I instantly back off on it when it happens. Most of the time it sputters, sometime dying out. A few times since its happened, I have to restart the car to get it going again. On idle and under 50mph, it drives fine, going into boost is where I have problems. I have hesitation trying to go into boost also. Anything over 1-2 PSI it begins to feel heavy. I have replaced all my components under my hood with new OEM Nissan components. The only items I didn't replace on the rebuild were fuel components. This being the Fuel Pressure Regulator, Damper, and Fuel Pump. The list of components I have replaced are all Nissan OEM. N62 MAF CAS IACV TPS Bosch Fuel Filter New Nismo 740 Injectors, with new seals New NGK Spark Plugs (Heat Range #8) Good Tested Coilpacks New OEM Fuel lines, no leaks New Detonation Sensor & Harness ECU Codes have been Ran, before and after recirc install. All 55. List of mods AEM Tru Boost Controller CZP 740 Chip JWT Single Pop Charger Topspeed Hi-pro Catback Exhaust HKS SSQV 4 Bov's (Removed) CZ Racing Hardpipes 2.5 Tbolt clamps Things I did to troubleshoot: I thought maybe the BOV's were causing the issue. A few weeks ago I recently installed brand new HKS SSQV 4 Bov's. So I went back to stock recircs and still have the issue. I cleaned my Air Filter and my MAF, still not resolving it. We had her on Ramps yesterday to check things out. All hoses are secure and no breaks in any lines anywhere. Wastegates move freely. Things I have noticed: Usually when I go fill up the tank for gas. I get pressure release, the two times I have filled up recently, I have no or very minimal pressure release. I smell no fuel. I reused the same insulators from my plenum pull that had the 555's and they were only a few months old. Recommendation from Greg at SZ was not to change them and I did not pull the rail to install the new injectors, only replaced the orings and I'm in a early fuel rail. Things I will do to troubleshoot this weekend: Fuel Pressure Gauge test Boost Leak Test Wastegate Actuator Test Questions I have: Will not having enough fuel cause this issue? The fuel system will not throw a code for say the FPR, but only the fuel sensor correct? Thanks to any help from you guys that made of experienced this. Much appreciated. - Dave
