| First off I haven't been able to search on this site the crash. Long short I acquired a running 91 TT wreck thats going to be too expensive to fix. I've been searching for a good roller for a while and found a 96 2+2 in great condition for a reasonable price. I have the following questions. 1. Will swapping the 91 OBDI goods into the 96 OBDII shell require removing all existing harnesses and replacing them with my donor harnesses? More work than a normal TT swap? 2. Will trying to smog a car on record as OBDII with OBDI equipment raise red flags. E.G. they will say "oh its a 96, so I should be able to plug this in....wait whats going on here..." Has anybody swapped a 90-95 engine into a 96 possibly in a state that requires smog inspections and had any issues? If it was anything but a 96 I wouldn't have any concerns.
