This Blitz DSBC was already installed when I acquired the car. It still has the settings that were put in by the previous owner. But, when i received the car, it did have a three dead cylinders. Two were due to bad injectors and 1 was due to a burnt valve that I was told was most likely due to prolonged overboosting. So, I want to make sure I have this thing set up with settings that won't fry my motor. Since I got the car, I have done new 615cc injectors with new updated full injection harness, Dual MAF setup with selin translator, re-ringed/honed all cylinder and rebuilt heads, new specialtyZ ecu flash, egr delete, tb coolant lines delete, and car already had an HKS hyper exhaust on it (hate it by the way). Car still has stock turbos, and is manual trans. We also have 93 octane here if that matters. Current settings on the DSBC are as follows: Setting 1 - 36 Setting 2 - 66 Setting 3 - 72 Setting 4 - 90 Setting M - 0 (map analyzer mode, which i don't have) Warning is set at 1.1 Limiter is set to -7 P and C on Scramble are both set at 10 So, as I understand it, settings 1-4 are a % of 100. Meaning if it were set at 0, then no boost would be added and all I would get is stock boost, just as if i had the controller turned off. And if it were set at 100, then i would use whatever my maximum boost is based on my current components, right? So, at 1.1 my warning comes on. If i'm cranking on it in 2nd or 3rd gear, I can get it to blip red and sound the alarm. So if i understand correctly, that means that am getting 1.1 bar of boost, or roughly 16 psi when it warns me. Am i understanding this correctly? I guess my main questions would be: 1. What is a safe maximum boost for me to hit momentarily. 2. What is a safe maximum boost to drive at for a longer period of time? 3. Exactly how does the "limiter" function on this controller work, and what should it be set at. Right now it's at -7, but I can't figure out what that number really means and what it does to control the boost. 4. What is the max boost that my car can create in its current configuration, so that I have some kind of baseline to go by. I know it can do 16 psi, since the warning currently comes on at 1.1 bar. 5. Gimme some examples of how you might have your 1-4 options set. Is there any reason to not have my #4 set at 100, as long as I'm limiting myself with the limiter? Any reason to not set them at 25, 50, 75 and 100? I'm already hitting my limit with the setting at 90, so i guess 100 isn't really needed. Any input would be great, thanks in advance!
