| This is probably one of those often asked, unanswerable questions -- but what the heck... My front end was mal-aligned -- I've had it aligned, and now have brand new tires up front. I'd like to avoid having my tires get chewed through every 10-15K (backs, whatever, but we're talking fronts), and feeling like crap for at least half of that. With the brand new tires on, the car feels MUCH better -- however, at speed (lets say on the smooth freeway), I'm getting a cyclic vibration that builds up every few seconds. It's not just a 'feeling', it's real -- it's even manifest by the rear view mirror and my cell phone (gps) mount -- that is, every few seconds, it goes from steady to shaking. When the tires were really bad, it was much worse, and also affected drivability. But now with new tires and alignment, I'm wondering if there isn't something else causing the tire wear. I have fairly new OEM adjustable shocks, Eibach progressive springs, adjustable upper arms, and adjustable tension rods. Could this vibration also be just something like a slightly off balance/worn drive shaft? Very annoying -- I'm probably the only person that would jump in my car and notice it -- but hey, it IS my car :)
