| I am at the point where my tires need replaced and my brakes are getting thin. I don't track my car, and probably never will. It's a stock height 94 twin turbo presently with stock wheels, and no plans of lowering it. I was browsing the brake/rotor options on Z1's website, and I discovered the 13" front rotor upgrade package: [ http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_9&products_id=2485 ] Realizing that these won't fit under stock wheels, I then decided to shop for larger, wider wheels. Not wanting to break the bank, I found some wheels I like: The Rota P45R/F. [ http://www.rotawheels.com/wheels.asp?wheelid=31 ] and [ http://www.rotawheels.com/wheels.asp?wheelid=30 ] My questions are: Is this brake kit a good choice for a non-track vehicle that is due for a brake job? Would you add a brake master cylinder brace as well to prevent firewall flexing? What offset would be needed for 275/35/18 rears and 245/40/18 fronts, assuming I went with 18x9.5 and 18x8.5 wheels? Is the HICAS steering knuckle going to be an issue with these wheels? I don't want the tires to rub, and I realize some clearance is needed for caliper relocation on the brake kit above. Too much offset and the brakes will be close to the spokes and require a wheel spacer. Too little and the wheels could stick out too far. I'm thinking 40-50mm offset in the rear and roughly 35 in the front. Thanks!
