| Long story short.. Been chasing down mysterious battery drain on new Optima red top. Replaced with Yellow top. Was running fine. Hooked up multimeter to read current with engine off. Started disconnecting fuses at fuse box to right of engine bay. Forgot key ignition was switched on. Disconnected a ground source at top of motor near piston 5. Went to start. Just turns and turns. Crap. Pull codes. Get Fuel temp sensor code 42. Re crimp new lead to the sensor. No more code 42. Now code 21. Crap. Take apart PTU and file down connectors and clean with electronics cleaner, still wont start. Still code 21. Heavy gas smell from exhaust. Will order new PTU and fuel temp sensor. What if this doesnt fix it? Ideas welcome. Did i fry something?
