| I have about a 1.5" gap between the engine and the bell housing, but I can't seem to get it to wiggle the transmission shaft into the pilot bushing. Right now, I have the transmission on a transmission-jack, with an additional hydraulic padded jack at the back of the transmission so I could attempt to level it a little. I'm not sure what else to do other than just keep trying to raise/lower the front, rear and keep trying to pull/push it into the engine... I also attempted to rotate the crankshaft a little thinking that maybe the transmission wasn't through the clutch yet. If it was through the clutch splines, wouldn't that be sufficient to guide the tip of the transmission shaft into the bearing?
