| My radio keeps blinking on and off and loosing it's memory which leads me to believe it has a bad connection to it's constant power. It is an aftermarket radio. I recrimped the connections to both constant/switched power and ground tonight and measured voltage. Here is what I saw. power to constant 12 v or just under when off 11.6 - 11.8 when acc mode 13.7 - 14 when on. readings for switched 0 v when off 11.6 - 11.8 when acc mode 13.7 - 14 when on. Would the questionable constant power be going back to my fuse box? Another odd thing happened. I turned on the hvac system from off mode to auto and lost all power to the radio. I had to completely pull the power from the back and plug it in when the car was running to give it at least the 12 v it needs to power on. Am I correct that i need at least 12v to power the radio on? I also should have at least 12v going to the constant power at all times right? What would cause me to get less than 12v? Thanks!
