Message This winter I will be replacing the bearings on my 185,000 mile Z. I have a couple questions for you experienced members.

1. Can all of the rod and mains hardware be re-used? If not, what should be replaced?

2. I've always been under the impression it is bad to turn a engine with hydraulic lifters upside down...can I turn it upside down at all to work on the bottom end and for how long?

3. My most recent compression test results are:
6: 155
4: 160
2: 155

5: 155
3: 145
1: 155

My question is, would it be a good idea to have the block honed, rings replaced, and heads refreshed? I don't have power goals beyond what stock turbos are capable of so I don't want to upgrade the internals right now. Should I just leave it alone?

4. Is the oil pump something I should consider replacing even if I'm not having any oil pressure issues?

Thanks
